This is the first rose this spring. And although it is a beauty,I have to admit I don't like rose bushes/trees/climbers.
I've never "met" one that doesn't have a zillion problems, like all kinds of bugs, plus mildew, plus-the worst-some almost invisible spiders drying it out...
I'm not sure pots are the best for roses.Maybe they would have fared better in a garden.
But the rose is pretty nevertheless!

Yesss!!! The zucchinis are now visible without the use of a telescope. The first tiny ones weren't big enough to even nimble, but these two are *rubs her hands gleefully and prepares the pan for a spring omelet*

Strawberry flowers:] So delicate and tiny. Our production so far =9 delicious strawberries lol (but there are 4 more ripening at the moment)

Olive tree update: The small buds are opening to tiny white flowers. Each one is an olive wannabe ;]
There are so many this time, I think the tree will bend down.

Hopefully this little thing will flower and then become a nice eggplant.

The Lantana bush is flowering too. Despite being poisonous it's flowers are loved both by bees and by butterflies.

This darling shrub is properly-as I found out-called Japanese Cheesewood,or more scientifically Pittosporum Tobira...anyway,we call it Angelica and it's blooming right now:]
Unfortunately, the flowers don't last more than a fortnight, but the smell is heavenly.

  1. *claps hands wildly* YAY! I love to see how things are doing in your garden! :D Thanks for the pictures, so much fun to see! And, I would like to mention that I am very glad that I'm not a zucchini in your garden right now...I would be trying to drag myself away with the pot trailing after me to escape your evil plans! :D

Oh my! The eggplant flower looks like something out of a monster carnivorous plant movie!

So much fun to see the olive flowers blooming with olives coming in the future, and I love the lantana flowers, they're just beautiful. The blossoms of the Cheesewood look similar to so many others...sort of waxy looking...and every time the fragrance of these sorts of flowers are intoxicating!
