Εκλογές;Ευχαριστώ,δεν θα πάρω/The moutza story

To have elections or not? this is the question in Greece and frankly my dear I don't give a dime!
What I love to tell you is the story and the art of this strange gesture Greeks use:Moutza.

Εκτακτο ,λέει συμβούλιο των πολιτικών αρχηγών συνεκάλεσε ο Πρόεδρος της Δημοκρατίας.

Και η ατμοσφαιρα μυρίζει το γνωστό και -μεχρι τώρα πετυχημένο- κόλπο των εκλογών.

Το μεγάλο κόλπο που έχει στηθεί δεκαετίες στην πλατη της καημένης της Δημοκρατίας. 

Σού λέει Δημοκρατία=εκλογές. 

Κάνω εκλογές,αααρα έχουμε δημοκρατία.

Αν με ψηφίσετε  θα έχω το ελεύθερο (λαϊκή εντολή λέγεται πιό κομψά) να κάνω ο,τι μου'ρθει για τα επόμενα 4 χρόνια. Σε όσους διαμρτυρηθούν για τι αποφάσεις μου θα τους ρίξω κατάμουτρα ένα περίφανο "Εχουμε τη λαϊκή εντολή.Θα μάς κρίνει ο λαός όταν ολοκληρώσουμε το έργο μας"...κι από κεί πάν κι οι άλλοι.

Moutza is the ultimate insulting gesture in Greece. It consists of extending all fingers and presenting the palm towards the to-be-insulted person in a forward motion. It is often coupled with the expletive "take these" 

Single sideways-backfacing-camouflaged moutza. You look at a person and give the moutza to another.

 An even more offensive version is achieved by using both hands to double the gesture, smacking the palm of one hand against the back of the other, in the direction of the intended recipient.
If a Greek wants to hand-signal the number 5, they take care not to overextend the fingers, or to face their palm towards themselves and the back of the hand towards the intended recipient of the signal, lest it be misunderstood for a "moutza".

Αν πάλι δεν με ψηφίσετε -συνεχίζει η μετάφραση των εκλογών-θά κάνει ο αντίπαλος ό,τι τον βολέυει για τα επόμενα 4 χρόνια, ενώ εγώ-ο GAP- και τα στελέχη μου θα πάθουμε μια ξαφνική αμνησία. (Το φαινόμενο απασχολεί την ιατρική επιστήμη αλλά δεν εχει διελευκανθεί ακόμα).
 Ο εγκέφαλος κάνει delete τα χρόνια πού κυβερνησαμε και γινόμαστε μια άνετη αξιωματική αντιπολίτευση που κουνάει το δάχτυλο και κάνει κριτική !!

Υπάρχει βέβαια, μια μικρή λεπτομέρεια. Η πλειοψηφία δεν θέλει πιά κανέναν απο τους δυό.Να μη σου πώ δεν θέλει κανεναν,τελεία και παύλα. ΔΕΝ...Με τίποτα...άστο,μην το συζητάμε.
Εναλλακτική λύση δεν φαίνεται στον ορίζοντα (ακόμα), άααρα προς τι ο Μπαμπούλας των εκλογών;

Single sideways-honest moutza.You look at the person you insult!

One theory declares that the gesture was used in ancient times,at the Mysteries of Elefsis as a curse.
Another school of moutza thought (:P) claims-with some solid evidence-that in Byzantine times it was customary to blacken the face of a convict to humiliate him. The black ash was named "moutzo" in medieval Greek, so the gesture of insultingly applying the ash to someones face came to be called moutza.
Whatever the origin, it is widely used in Greece especially while driving (you hold the steering wheel with one hand ,extend the other out of the window and "throw" a moutza to the desired direction :p) 

Watch carefully the mechanics of the gesture and the various kinds of moutza ;] Notice the double-crossed- palms -self moutza...happens often after elections.

Δεν θέλω εκλογές.
Τι να του κάνει του πυροβολημένου η ασπιρίνη;

Δημοκρατία και μια κυβερνηση της προκοπής θέλω.
 Ενα συμμάζεμα, μια τσίπα, ένα φιλότιμο θέλω. Μια παραίτηση λόγω πολιτικής ευθιξίας, ενα λαμόγιο στο κελλί 33 στον Κορυδαλλό θέλω.
